eSafety

Computers are now part of everyday life.  For most of us, technology is essential to our lives, at home and at work.  ICT (Information and Communication Technology) is an important resource to support learning and teaching, as well as playing a significant role in the everyday lives of children.

At Balladen School,  we are always striving to stay at the forefront of new technologies to engage, enthuse and inspire your child’s learning, as well as equip pupils with the knowledge and skills ready for technological advancements in the future. As part of this, pupils are taught the skills and knowledge to recognise and manage potential online risks.

Our eSafety teaching in school consists of regular lessons throughout the year which are specific to the topic taught.  We also run three eSafety days per year which are aimed at raising awareness of this important and essential area of our children's lives.

We involve you in this wherever possible and support you in your e-safety provision at home. On this page you will find useful links and information regarding the safe use of the internet.
