Balladen Primary School Child Protection and Safeguarding Statement
We are a caring and supportive school that places the development of every individual pupil as a priority. As such; Child Protection is an essential part of providing a safe environment; which recognises that pupils have a fundamental right to be protected from harm. Children cannot learn effectively unless they feel confident and secure.
Parents send their children to school each day with the expectation that school provides a secure environment in which their children can flourish. We therefore have to ensure that this expectation becomes reality. In order to do this a wide range of measures are put in place:
Anti-Bullying Policy; Attendance Policy; Behaviour and Discipline; Complaints; Drug Policy; E-Safety and Acceptable Use Policy; Equal Opportunities and Racial Equality; First Aid Policy; Guidance and Procedures for Playtime and Lunchtime; Induction; Intimate Personal Care; Missing Child; PHSE; Recruitment and Selection; Restraint Policy and Procedure; Use of Images; Whistle-blowing; Whole School Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy.
Some of these Policy documents can be found on our ‘Policies’ web page (see link below). To request paper copies of all other policies, please contact the school office.
